Justice For Slain Taraba Born NYSC Corps Member, Samaila Awudu



The Family of the slain member of the National Youth Service Corp NYSC and a Biochemistry graduate of Federal University Wukari Late Samaila Sabo Awudu, is demanding for justice over the murder of their son.

 

The family made the demand at Gindin Dorowa in Wukari local government area while laying to rest the deceased.

 

Also joining the family to demand justice are member representing Wukari /Ibbi Federal Constituency at the House of Representative Hon Danjuma Shiddi, Danji SS; PDP candidate for Taraba State House of Assembly Wukari II Hon.Josiah Yaro Angye; the Kuteb youth General Assembly (KYGA), among others

 

Hon. Josiah Yaro Angye while insisting that  Justice should be served on all those involved in the death of "Our Jukun Son, an innocent NYSC Member that was gentle, humble, meek ,Who hardly hurt a fly. Anybody that came around him would tell you better. I want the government to fetch out those who killed him at his prime and prevented him from achieving his dreams," to face the wrath of the Law."

 

KYGA while extending its condolence to the family of late Samaila Sabo Awudu, implore relevant authorities to bring the perpetrators of this evil act to justice.

 

Late Samaila Sabo Awudu an NYSC member serving in Yola the Adamawa state capital made his death as a result of an attacked he suffered in the hands of unknown assailants who broke in to his residents and machetted him.

 

The deceased died in a Hospital in Yola Adamawa state capital where he was being treated.

 

 late Awudu who Hailed from Wukari local government area, the family of the deceased and sympathizers gathered at CRC-N Gindin Dorowa and held a funeral service before committing the body to mother earth.

 

Speaking at the service the Pastor In-charged of CRC-N Gindin Dorowa Revernd Philip Agbu, spoke on the theme Who are you living For.

 

He told the sympathizers that God brought each and every one to the planet earth for a purpose hence the need to live for God and strive to represent him as death can knock at any time and in whatever means or forms.

 

The Clergy regretted high level of inhumanity in society that young people submit themselves as agent for perpetrating ungodliness calling on them to embrace Christ or wallow in regret in the hereafter.

 

The Representative of the Coordinator NYSC Adamawa State and CRC-N Bakin Kogi Yola all took turns and condemned the unfortunate act. 

 

They described the deceased as a promising and hardworking gentleman whom shall be missed.

 

For the family they are demanding for justice over the murder of their son.

 

An elder brother of the deceased, Ephraim Haruna Sabo called on the security agents to unravel those behind the dastard act and made them to face justice.

 

Meanwhile the Adamawa State Government is set to investigate the attack on late, Samaila Sabo Audu, with a view to arrest the perpetrators for them to face full wrath of the law.

 

The Corps member was on Sunday 14th August, 2022 attacked by yet to be identified hoodlums at his residence behind El Kanemi College for Islamic Theology Yola town.

 

Adamawa State, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri  expressed dismay over the unfortunate act, describing it as totally unacceptable.

 

Represented by the Chief of Staff Government House Yola, Prof Maxwell Gidado, the Governor condemned the attack, reiterated that security and safety of all corps members serving in the state is paramount.

 

 Fintiri, while sympathizing with the family  charged community leaders to always ensure the safety of corps members in their domain in the interest of unity and development of the country.
