Abel Diah, Mark Useni Dumps PDP, Purchase Nomination Forms In APC




Two former speakers of Taraba State House of Assembly,  Hon. Peter Abel Diah and Mark Bako Useni have dump their former People's Democratic party PDP to contest elections under the platform of the main opposition in the state, All Progressives Congress APC.


Diah is the member representing Mbamga State Constituency, he was elected to the house since 2003 till date, he became speaker of the house from 2015 to 2019




While Useni  was elected as member representing Takum II at the state house of assembly since 2008 till date, he was also elected speakerof the house from 2014 to 2015, both of them elected and served as speakers of the state house of assembly. 


Taraba Truth and Facts gathered reliably that while Useni have already picked nomination and expression of interest form to contest for house representative under Takum, Ussa and Donga Federal Constituency, Diah have picked nomination and expression of interest for to contest to return to the state house of assembly. 


Though Diah and Useni, this newspaper  gathered that the duo are already undergoing waiver process with the leadership of APC in the state to fully go into the elections. 


It was further gathered that the atmosphere at the state house of assembly remain tense following the expectations that the major stakeholders of the assembly would be defecting to the opposition party on monday.


A top executive member of APC in Taraba confirmed that the party has received not just the two former speakers but two other members of the house of assembly in a very short time from PDP.


The party official who pleaded anonymity said."for now we are undergoing some process with them so far because they are high profile personalities in the state, they have already pick their nomination forms under our party but we still have to undergo some official documentation before former declaration.
