Alleged Marginalizion: Christian Youth Group Tackles Taraba Muslim Council
• Demands Christian- Christian Ticket in 2023
A group, Concerned Christian Youth, Taraba State Chapter has challenged the Muslim Council of Taraba State to speak against marginalization of Christians at the Federal level of governance.
Addressing a press conference in Jalingo on Monday, Chairman, of the group Pastor Allahkyauta Adi described position of the Muslim Council on marginalization as a calculated attempt to instigate Muslims against Christians in Taraba State.
The group also called on the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN in Taraba State to do everything possible to ensure that Christian Christian ticket is projected in the next governorship election.

The attention of the Concerned Christian Youth, Taraba State Chapter has been drawn to a Press Conference held by the Taraba State Chapter of Muslim Council of Nigeria, On the 21st January, 2022 in Jalingo, in which the Council accused Taraba State Government of considering more Christians in appointments than Muslims.
Ordinarily Concerned Christian Youth could have over look it but because it is coming from Muslim Council, it is eminent to put some records straight, in other not to mislead the generality of Nigerians.
Concerned Christian Youths views the press conference by the Muslim as a calculated attempt to instigate Muslims against Christians in Taraba State.
It is a misrepresentation of facts that Christians are the most favoured and considered in Taraba State. There are good numbers of Muslims appointed by Governor DDI into his administration, holding key strategic positions and are serving in various capacities.
For those in the Civil Service, it is to everybody's knowledge that appointments as Permanent Secretaries or Head of Boards and Parastatals, is done in accordance with Civil Service rules, seniority and or competence. So how come a body such as Muslim council would alleged sidelining of Muslims in the appointments which bothers on civil service rules and regulations just for cheap publicity.
We the concerned Christian Youth want to asks Muslim council whether or not they are not seeing President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari who is highly nepostic and sideline Christian in his appointments, all the Service Chiefs are all Muslims, all the Head of Federal Government Agencies, Boards and Parastatals are all Muslims, all Buhari appointments are based on religion and is all given to Muslims.
Nigerians and the world are aware of it. And Muslim Council is mute. Which we presume they are happy.
Further More President Buhari's administration introduced several intervention funds which are disbursed to Nigerians. It is very glaring that Muslims Youths and Women are the only beneficiaries. It is very clear that Muslims Youths and Women have a specific link to access the funds as they are always the beneficiaries despite the fact that non Muslims applies. The records are all their. Who is marginalizing who. Muslims Council should not mistake our silence for cowardice.
We also want to asks, who speaks out when the Governor of Kaduna state dropped a Christian Deputy Governor and replaced same with Muslims. Muslim Council did not condemned it despite massive outcry from across the country. All Muslims supported this ill practice which was against the constitutional practice of the state.
Muslim Council and CAN have been operating cordially for peace and stability of the state. We were shocked to see Muslim Council coming out with a position that will sets our state on fire and cause division.
For this we want to used this medium, to call on the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN in Taraba State to do everything possible to ensure that Christian Christian ticket is projected.
