Sho Rimamnde Bitrus Nuhu: 1964 to 2021


 

 

RIMAMNDE BITRUS NUHU was born on 23rd August, 1964 in Takum, attended Baptist Primary School Shendam, LSB Primary School Akwanga, Rimi Primary School Takum, GSS Donga, MGSS Takum, MGSS Wukari, CPS Yola. He participated in the 38th regular course selection of the NDA from where he proceeded and graduated from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU)  Zaria in 1988, holds a B. sc in international Studies, had his NYSC in Ewu Grammar School Ewu in The defunct Bendel State, has A Masters in International Affairs and Diplomacy (ABU Zaria)  and a Post Graduate Diploma (PGDTL)  in Transport and logistics from the Nigerian Institute of Transport  Technology (NITT)  Zaria where he met the requirement to be a Member of the Chartered  Institute of Transport and Logistics (MCILT)  London.  

 

Rimamnde worked in the defunct Federal Ministry of Transport & Aviation Marina- Lagos as research and planning officer from 1989-1990. He received training as a Graduate Telecommunications Operator (GTO) at The NITEL Training School Oshodi Lagos, he was employed to work in Abuja by The Nigerian Telecommunications Ltd.  (NITEL) where he worked for several years  as graduate telephone operator, customers service officer and credit control manager until he retired voluntarily in 2001 at the age of 37.  

 

He immediately joined the private sector to run businesses and companies. From 2001 to 2003 he was the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of the multimillion naira Dyno Communications Nig. Ltd Abuja. In 2003 he became the MD/CEO of Royal Palm Country Resorts Ltd Abuja. In 2005 he was appointed Director of  Nigeria States and Local Government Trade & Tourism Fair (NIGERSTALG) Abuja. In 2006 he became the MD/CEO of Tropikal Kolds Nig. Ltd Abuja. In 2007 he established Rocks and Stones Global Resources Ltd where serves as MD/CEO  to date.   What a self-made man with so much to officer to our generation.      

 

He joined politics and  was Gubernatorial candidate Alliance for Democracy (AD) Taraba state 2003, Gubernatorial,  aspirant People's Democratic Party (PDP) 2007, Member Board of Trustees Middle Belt Forum FCT chapter 2001-2005, Coordinator, Obasanjo Solidarity Forum, Taraba state 2004

Member, Organizing Committee, North East zone (PDP) and Presidential campaign kick-off Bauchi 2007.

 

 He became the premier (first) Coordinator of Yangtu Special Development Area (YSDA). He was the Secretary General of Alhaji Garba Umar(UTC) campaign organization.  He also vied for the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to represent Taraba South Senatorial District. He was nominated to be the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the PDM thereafter, but however, reneged the contest and became a central member of the campaign organization of the APC Governorship Candidate Senator  Aisha Jummai Al'hassan. In 2019 he contested for the senatorial ticket of the APC.

 

In his quest to add more value and capacity to the society the late Britus was the PATRON, CHILD'S Rights Brigade (NGO), Abuja; Promoter, Green Taraba Initiative (NGO) Jalingo; Member, National Association of Small And Medium Enterprises (NASME); Member, Miner Association of Nigeria (MAN) and Member of the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics (MCILT).

 

 Rimamnde was a Business man and a renowned industrialist and Miner.   He is an aggressive hard-worker, community leader, a grassroot mobilizer, a patient and very friendly politician, planner, organiser and a strategist. His specialities include: International Politics and Foreign affairs, National political analysis, Transport and TeleCommunications, Mining, Tourism, Environment, Administration and Management. Rimamnde, is married to Stella and they have three daughters. Deborah, Sarah and Tinde.

 

A lover of his people, Rimamnde during his tenure as the premier coordinator YSDA 2007-2011, was able to impact the lives of his people through lobby and prudent use of government resources, parts of his achievements includes:

 

1. Rehabilitated dilapidated 8Nos Block of classrooms 2 Block each in Kwambai, Jenuwa Gida, Bika and Jenuwa Kogi.

2. Built Two New BLocks of Early child Education center 1Block each in Kwambai and Jenuwa Kogi.

3. Constructed/Equipped  a model police Out-post in Kwambai.

4. Built  a model 15Bed women and children Maternity  and Hospital in Kwambai.

5. Bought 4 Nos Toyota Camry cars for the Chiefs (Traditional Rulers) of The YSDA for ease of Transportation namely:  Kwe Bika, Kwe kwambai, Kwe Jenuwa Kogi and Kwe Jenuwa Gida.

6. Establishment of a  model farm Centre, with farm House, palm nursery / plantation, pineapple  nursery / plantation for the propagation of palm/pineapple  seedlings in Jenuwa Kogi.

7. Facilitation of Renovation, construction and equipping  of new Primary Health Care  Centres  (PHC) in Jenuwa Gida, Jenuwa Kogi and Bika vide MDG projects.

8. Facilitation of the connection of Kwambai en route  Ribasi, Nyifiye, Nyincwu; Jenuwa Gida to the National Grid to supply Electricity to the YSDA.

9. Purchase of 20tons MAN Diesel  Tipper truck for Revenue Generation to the YSDA.

10. Laid the Administrative. Foundation for the establishment of the YSDA.

11. Facilitated  through persuasion the purchase of 3Nos official and utility vehicles for the smooth take off of the YSDA Administration. 1No Toyota Hilux, 1 No Peugeot  406 and 1 No Toyota Corolla.

12. Model Furnishing / Equipping of the YSDA Temporary  Secretariat  including the purchase of 100kva soundproof standby Generator. 

13. Provision of viewing  center equipment State of the Art Public Address systems for the YSDA.

14. Incorporation of Yangtu Clay Bricks industry  Ltd. with the corporate  Affairs Commission (CAC) as a YSDA parastatal/ Commercial venture for wealth creation, skill acquisition and Internal Revenue Generation.

15. Commencement of the Construction of a mega 5000 Clay Bricks/day (per day) factory in conjunction with Hydraform industry of South Africa in Bika.

16. Construction of Numerous open stalls and lock up shops at Jenuwa Gida market.

17. Facilitating the provision of water bore holes Via MDG Programs and rehabilitation of Old unserviced Boreholes across  the YSDA.

18. Created a poverty alleviation scheme for the YSDA Indigene where over 150 people were Beneficiaries across the YSDA.

19. Influenced  the Establishment of federal Government international Cattle ranch in Tompu for the research and control of the menace  of Tse-Tse fly by the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology Vide, Nigeria Institute for Trypanosomiasis Research (NITR) Kaduna.

20. Facilitated the provision of an operational Police vehicle and Establishment of Sub-Police Division in Kwambai HQs YSDA to enhance the security wellbeing of the people.

21. Construction of A link Box Culvert  to link Jenuwa Kogi - Pyeri in Jenuwa Kogi. A culvert that for years dis linked and made Access extremely difficult to the Jenuwa Kogi community.
