CRC-N CAUTION FARMERS AGAINST SELLING ALL FOOD ITEMS






The Christian Reformed Church Nigeria CRCN has directed church leaders to speak out against rampant disposal of harvested farm produce and enlighten their members on the need to store their farm produce against the raining days and apply wisdom on the way and manner they sell off their food products.

The church stated the position in a six points communique issued by the CRC-N President Rev.Dr.Caleb Ahima and General secretary Rev.Sargaga Nuvalga Gargea,at the end of it 120th Synod held in Takum, headquarters of Takum local government area of Taraba state.

The communique expressed fears that things might get worst next year as there is the prediction of food scarcity. 
The communique declared that CRC-N is a multi-tribal church and God's detribalise assembly, thought has many and diverse cultures it is a body of one people in faith, hope and love.

It observed that it is an error for the church to be identified as a Jukun church, urging the society to shun wrong notion as tribe is inconseciuential and as the church is concerned with preparing it members of Christ return.

On climate change the church expressed sadness over continued deforestation, which is responsible for global warming and the destruction of Earth's resources and admonished members of the society to view themselves as stewards of God's creation and everyone will account for his stewardship.

The communique further observed with dismay the growing abstenace of people from the covid-19 protocols, despite the fact that the pendemic is still ravaging the global communities and suggested for strict adherence to the preventive measures.
