Tension in Wukari Over Fresh Attacks 






As Taraba State observes Lock down to prevent the spread of covid 19 pandemic to the state,  gunmen believed to be Tiv Militia on early hours of Tuesday attacked Wukari town  destroying farm produce and setting houses ablaze.
Residents said gun shots were heard from behind Ibrahim Sangari Stadium around 1 am Tuesday morning.
The fresh attack is third in the last two weeks
caused panic in Wukari town of Taraba state following an attack by suspected militia group early Friday morning.

Taraba Truth and Facts reports that  old BB area in the town located along Chankai road came under attacks by suspected Tiv militia resulting in pandemonium last week.
As at time of this report it was gathered that nobody was killed during the attacked but many resident fled while there panic in the town. 
 The Caretaker Chairman of Wukari Local Government Dr Adi Daniel Grace blamed the attack on suspected Tiv Militias.
He explained that this is the third time the suspected Tiv Militias are launching attacks in wukari in the wake of the Corona virus Lock down.
He regretted that farming season is setting in and the ungodly men also commenced attacks to distract the people from farming activities.
The chairman called on the people of the area to be calm as the council is doing everything possible to safe guard the people.
Effort by Taraba Truth and Fact to speak to Taraba State Police command proved abortive as the PPRO did not respond to phone calls from our correspondent.
