Supreme Court Judgement: Why l will inherit APC VOTES as runner up during guber primary -Prof Sani Yahaya

●Vows to reclaim APC Mandate  in Tribunal
●Sani Danladi not ban from holding Public office
● Why judgement wont affect Petition Tribunal

The Supreme Court of Nigeria sitting in Abuja on Friday has dismissed the Appeal of Sani Abubakar Danladi challenging his disqualification as governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC by the federal High Court, Jalingo.
Alhaji Sani Abubakar Danladi was disqualified from contesting the 2019 Governorship election in Taraba state on the 6th day of March,2019 by the Federal High Court, Jalingo presided over by Honorable Justice Stephen Dalyop Pam.
A governorship aspirant  Prof Sani Muhammad Yahaya said now being the first runner up at the primary,  he is the candidate of the party for the governorship election.
Senator Joel Ikenya who emerged second in the APC governorship primary election left the party to contest Senatorial election under APGA, making Prof Sani Muhammad Yahaya as the first runner up.
Welcoming the Supreme Court Judgement, Prof Yahaya told Taraba Truth and Facts that his mandate at the moment is to reclaim the victory of the APC at the governorship election at the Court.
''We are waiting for the National leadership of the party to take decision but am the second runner up, with this decision of the Supreme court I would inherit all the votes of the APC in the last governorship election. Am committed to reclaiming our victory at the tribunal and ensure the APC form government in Taraba state because the people voted for APC massively in the last election but the PDP rigged us which we are challenging in Court.
Prof Yahaya said he would fight the legal battle to victory.

However the election Petition pending in the Tribunal is not rendered incompetent as been speculated in some quarters, lawyers told Taraba Truth and Facts that the Party, APC is also a party to the suit challenging the victory of the PDP and Governor Ishaku at the tribunal.
Also Prof Sani Yahaya has approached a Court of Appeal in Yola to include him as a party in the election petition tribunal.
Meanwhile the Supreme Court judgement does has not ban Alhaji Sani Danladi from holding political office, a close aide told this paper.
The aide said Danladi is studying the Supreme Court Judgement.
