Kidnappers abducts Missionary in Jalingo, release Perm Sec



A missionary identified as Jeremiah Tweinta has been kidnapped by gunmen in Gongomaliki area of Jalingo, Taraba State capital.
Twentia, who is a missionary with Peculiar Treasure Mission was abducted at 1:51 am on Tuesday.
This was after the kidnappers shot into the air to scare residents of the area.
According to a relative, Twentia was sleeping in his hut when the hoodlums picked him up and took him to an unknown destination.
The relative added that the hoodlums are yet to contact the family for ransom or any condition to be met for his release.
The Taraba State police public relations officer, David Misal in reaction to the incident said the case is yet to be reported to his desk.
Meanwhile Mrs Susana Jonathan, a a Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Water Resources who was captured in her house in Jalingo in the early hours of Sunday has been released.
Jonathan was abducted barely five days after the kidnap of the Deputy Registrar of Taraba State University, Mr Sanusi Sa’ad by gunmen.
Sa’ad was also released after paying ransom.
