Dr Tijo Kenneth Mingeh, mni, has declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Ardo Kola, Karim-Lamido and Lau Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.

Mingeh, who is seeking the seat on the platform of the Accord Party, made the declaration at a press conference in Jalingo, saying his campaign would focus on issues, peace and development.

He unveiled his campaign slogan, “TKM Turning Point: The Time Is Now,” and presented a four-point agenda for the people of the constituency.

The aspirant said he would work with security agencies and relevant stakeholders to address the farmer-herder clashes affecting parts of the constituency.

He also promised to attract federal projects in the areas of road infrastructure, water and electricity, while creating job opportunities through skills acquisition centres and access to SME loans for youths and women.

In the areas of health and education, Mingeh pledged to upgrade primary healthcare centres, support the availability of anti-snake venom, provide scholarships and assist students with JAMB registration.

Mingeh called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and security agencies to ensure that the 2027 elections are free, fair and credible.

He also urged youths, women and other constituents to support the Accord Party in the coming election.

Speaking earlier, the Taraba State Organising Secretary of the Accord Party, who represented the state chairman at the event, said political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections had begun across the country.

He expressed hope that the relevant authorities would follow due process and ensure a free, fair and credible election in 2027.
