In a significant political development, one of the leading aspirants for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket in the Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency, Hon. Adamu Abubakar, has withdrawn his intention to contest the upcoming primary election. He has also declared his full support for the incumbent, Hon. Ja’afaru Yakubu, to continue representing the constituency.

The decision followed a series of high-level consultations and mutual understanding among key leaders and stakeholders of the Bali/Gassol political structure. The meetings were held at various locations, including the residence of Engr. Yahaya Mafindi, who serves as the Director-General of the Campaign for Hon. Adamu Abubakar.

In a statement issued by Hon. Ja’afaru Yakubu, it was revealed that the final harmonization meeting was concluded at the residence of Sen. Haruna Manu. It was there that Hon. Adamu Abubakar officially confirmed his withdrawal in the presence of his supporters, citing the overriding interest of promoting unity, peace, and the continued development of the Bali/Gassol constituency for the benefit of all.

According to the statement, this decision is expected to further strengthen unity and promote purposeful politics that will ultimately benefit the entire people of the constituency.

Political observers see the move as a major boost for Hon. Ja’afaru Yakubu’s reelection bid and a testament to the growing maturity of internal party politics in the area.
