Ussa LG Chairman Renovates Classroom Blocks in Lissam, Kpambo
The Chairman of Ussa Local Government Area, Hon. AbershiMusa, has completed the renovation of four classroom blocks across two schools in the area, in a move aimed at improving educational infrastructure.
The intervention follows the directive of the Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, who mandated local government councils to prioritise the rehabilitation of dilapidated schools across the state.
The projects executed under this phase include the full renovation of two classroom blocks at Kukunfxang Primary School in Lissam, and another two classroom blocks at Government Day Secondary School (GDSS), Kpambo.
The renovated structures, previously in a state of disrepair, have been upgraded with new roofing, reinforced structures, and improved finishing to create a more conducive learning environment for pupils and students.
Speaking on the development, Hon. Abershi Musa described the project as part of a broader effort to reposition the education sector in Ussa Local Government Area.
“Our objective is to ensure that every child in Ussa LGA learns in a dignified and safe environment. We are strictly aligned with the vision of Governor Agbu Kefas to revitalise the education sector and modernise our learning centres,” he said.
The chairman assured residents that the renovation exercise would be extended to other wards before the end of the year to ensure wider impact.
He also called on the people of Ussa to continue supporting the state government, stressing that peace and cooperation are essential for attracting more developmental projects to the area.
The renovation is part of ongoing efforts by the Taraba State Government to upgrade educational facilities and enhance the quality of learning across the state.
