The Executive Chairman of Jalingo Local Government Area, Hon. Nura Dantsoho, disclosed this during the official flag-off of the exercise at the Jalingo Local Government Secretariat.
Dantsoho said the initiative is aimed at supporting vulnerable groups and improving the welfare of residents across the area. He explained that the grains, comprising maize and rice, were provided by the state government to enhance food security and ease the burden on struggling households.
"To ensure fairness and equity, beneficiaries were carefully selected through their associations and in consultation with key stakeholders," he said.

He assured that the process would be transparent and reach those who truly need the support.
