An aspirant for the Taraba State House of Assembly Karim II, Muneerah Garba Umar UTC, has debunked rumours circulating in some quarters claiming that she has withdrawn from the 2027 race.

 

The clarification followed widespread online speculation suggesting that the aspirant had stepped down from her ambition—claims she described as false and misleading.

 

In a statement posted on her official Facebook page, Muneerah firmly denied the reports, stating that she remains committed to her political journey and has not made any decision to withdraw from the contest.

 

“My attention has been drawn to messages circulating that I have withdrawn from the 2027 Taraba State House of Assembly race,” she said.

 

She clarified that such claims do not reflect her position, emphasising that she remains actively engaged with her constituents and stakeholders.

 

“I remain fully committed to serving our people, and I continue to engage widely as we move forward together,” she added.

 

The aspirant also appreciated the support she has received so far, noting that the encouragement from her supporters continues to strengthen her resolve.
