Visionary World Holds Children Outreach in Ardo-Kola Community

Visionary World, a non-governmental organisation, has organised a children outreach programme at Unguwan Mongorocommunity in SobaiArdo-Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State, aimed at improving the welfare and overall wellbeing of children.

The outreach featured a range of humanitarian and child-friendly activities designed to promote health, learning and social development. These included free hair washing and plaiting for girls, haircuts for boys, basic chess lessons, alphabet rhymes for younger children, distribution of notebooks, pens and pencils, medical check-ups, as well as feeding.

Speaking during the programme, the Chief Executive Officer of Visionary World, Miss. Rita Thomas Yerima, said the outreach was part of the organisation's ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable children and improving their access to basic healthcare, education and social services.

She noted that early interventions at the community level are essential for building a healthier, confident and well-nurtured generation, particularly in underserved rural areas.

Parents and residents of Unguwan Mongoro expressed appreciation to Visionary World for choosing their community, describing the outreach as timely and impactful. They appealed for sustained interventions and expanded support programmes to address the needs of children in rural settlements.

Some of the beneficiaries also expressed gratitude to the organisation, saying the activities not only met immediate needs but also encouraged learning, confidence and a sense of inclusion among the children.
