ADC Unveils Jalingo LGA Secretariat, Welcomes New Defectors

 

 

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Wednesday recorded what party leaders described as an unprecedented turnout as it held a grand rally to unveil its Jalingo Local Government Area secretariat.

 

Party leaders described the event as a major milestone in ADC's grassroots consolidation drive. According to officials, the party has now established functional offices in almost all local government areas of the state, with the exception of Karim Lamido and Wukari.

 

The ceremony in Jalingo was led by the State Chairman of ADC, Hon. Adamu Hassan Muhammad, popularly known as Matawallen Iware, alongside the Chairman of the ADC Transition Committee in Taraba, Senator Abubakar Umar Tutare. They were accompanied by other state executives and party stakeholders.

 

In his address, Hon. Adamu Hassan Muhammad outlining the ADC's vision for Taraba State, warmly welcomed the new members and assured them of equal opportunities within the party.

 

He emphasized the ADC's core principles of inclusivity, internal democracy, transparency and good governance, stressing that the party remains committed to the welfare and progress of the people. He urged members to remain united and actively participate in shaping the future of both the party and the state.

 

He reiterated ADC's determination to provide a credible political alternative and a platform where every citizen of Taraba can contribute meaningfully to governance.

 

Earlier in his remarks, Chairman of the ADC Transition Committee in Taraba, Senator Abubakar Umar Tutare, expressed appreciation to all stakeholders who contributed to the establishment of the Jalingo office.

He described the new secretariat as a strategic hub for party activities, community engagement and coordination of initiatives aimed at improving the lives of residents in Jalingo and beyond.

 

Senator Tutare reiterated the party's commitment to transparency, unity and inclusive governance, noting that the strengthening of party structures at the grassroots level is essential to building a brighter future for Taraba State.

 

The unveiling concluded with renewed pledges of unity, solidarity and determination among members, as the ADC signaled its intention to consolidate its growing presence in the state's political landscape.

In his goodwill message, Prof. Muhammed Sani Yahaya commended the leadership and members of the ADC in Jalingo LGA for their resilience and commitment to building a formidable political structure capable of delivering good governance.

 

 He noted that the establishment of functional party secretariats across the state demonstrates the party's readiness to provide purposeful leadership and credible alternatives to the people of Taraba.

 

 Prominent political figures graced the occasion, including former lawmaker Abubakar Yahuza, Prof. Muhammed Sani Yahaya, Barr. Haruna Kwetishe, Chief Ilya Ezekiel, Hon. Iliyasu Goje, Hon. Aminu Umar Bako, Dr. Saleem Goje (Dan Mama), and Comrade Isyaka Usman Zakari, among others.
