ADC Aspirant Condemns Deadly Attack in Didango, Calls for Swift Justice

An aspirant in the forthcoming 2027 general elections under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Yasir Abdullahi Mai Capacity, has strongly condemned the attack by unknown gunmen in Didango, Karim Two Constituency, describing the incident as senseless and unacceptable.

Mai Capacity made the condemnation in an interview with our reporter following the deadly attack, which occurred late Tuesday night while Muslim faithful were observing Tarawih prayers.

The incident reportedly claimed the lives of three persons, while three others sustained gunshot injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the General Hospital, Bambur.

Eyewitnesses said the assailants stormed the area disguised in Muslim women's attire and began shooting sporadically before fleeing the scene.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the ADC aspirant expressed deep concern over the rising insecurity in the area, noting that such acts of violence threaten peaceful coexistence and community safety.

He extended his sympathies to the victims and the families affected by the attack and prayed for the quick recovery of those injured.

Mai Capacity urged security agencies to act swiftly by thoroughly investigating the incident and bringing the perpetrators to justice. He also called on residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information that could aid in the arrest of those responsible.
