Ibi PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Ubandoma, Promises Inclusive Leadership

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate for Ibi Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Ubandoma, has intensified grassroots consultations ahead of the November 8, 2025, council election.

Ubandoma, who is widely regarded as one of the most prepared candidates in the race, met with several stakeholders and community groups in Ibi, promising unity and inclusive governance if elected.

During a visit to the Dr. Agbu Kefas PDP Mobilization Group, Ibi Chapter, the group's leader, Hon. Ali Zakari, pledged total support for Ubandoma's ambition, describing him as a capable and intelligent leader who represents the PDP's renewed grassroots vision.

Ubandoma thanked the group for their commitment and shared his vision for Ibi, stressing peace, unity, and collective progress. "Our goal is one Ibi — united, peaceful, and prosperous," he said. "By the grace of God, we will work with everyone to build a better future for our people."

In another meeting, Ubandoma paid an unscheduled visit to Hon. Lukuman Ajiya, where he met the acting APC chairman, Hon. Ahmad Danball, and other stakeholders at the residence of Dodo Guy. Discussions, sources said, centered on maintaining peace and political understanding ahead of the local council polls.

Ubandoma also met with the Tiv community in Ibi, where he listened to their grievances and assured them of fair representation. He praised Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas for sustaining peace and security across the state and promised to appoint members of the Tiv community into key positions in his administration.

"I'm also Tiv," Ubandoma said. "I understand your struggles. I will not sideline my people. You will have a voice in my administration."

He urged the Tiv community to continue supporting him with prayers and unity, assuring that his government will reflect the diversity and strength of Ibi's people.

Political observers in Ibi believe Ubandoma's latest engagements are part of a broader effort to consolidate support and demonstrate readiness for leadership. His emphasis on inclusion, reconciliation, and grassroots connection is already reshaping local political alignments ahead of the election.
