Youths Coalition Defend Hon. A. M. Lauya, Highlight His Achievements in Ardo-Kola, Karim-Lamido, Lau Federal Constituency
A coalition of youths under the umbrella of the Coalition of Concerned Youths for Good Governance in Ardo-Kola, Karim Lamido, and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State has strongly condemned recent verbal attacks on the Member representing Ardo-Kola, Karim Lamido, and Lau Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. A. M. Lauya.
In a statement issued in Jalingo and signed by its chairman, Comrade Danjuma A. Masoyi, the coalition expressed disappointment over what it described as "malicious and baseless criticisms" by a few individuals, including AbrahimHaruna, Mrs. Asebe Danladi, and Sanusi Bako, against the federal lawmaker.
According to the group, the attacks were not born out of genuine concern for the constituency but rather from personal grievances. "It is evident that their dissatisfaction with Hon. Lauya's indisputable performance stems from being denied personal favors which they could not secure from his administration," the statement read.
The coalition commended Hon. Lauya's performance, noting that his tenure has brought visible development to the constituency. Among the projects cited were the construction of schools across the three local government areas, distribution of fertilizers and farming tools to farmers, empowerment of women with startup capital, installation of solar street lights, provision of employment opportunities, and the ongoing construction of the Mararraban Kunini township road in Lau.
They also mentioned other interventions, including water projects and the provision of educational materials, which they said have improved living standards across the constituency.
Describing the critics' actions as an attempt to distract and tarnish the image of the lawmaker, the coalition maintained that such baseless attacks will not succeed. "Their brand of criticism is not rooted in objectivity or the principles of democracy. They are only fixated on personal benefits rather than the collective progress of our people," the statement added.
Reaffirming their total support for Hon. Lauya, the coalition praised his commitment to selfless service and urged him to remain focused on delivering more dividends of democracy.
"We stand in solidarity with Hon. Lauya and urge him not to be distracted by those seeking to derail the progress of our constituency. To Abrahim Haruna, Mrs. Asebe Danladi, and Sanusi Bako, we advise you to desist from further attacks and engage in constructive criticism that promotes development," the statement says.
