Muri Youths, Kona Elders Back Nura Dantsoho for Jalingo Chairmanship
The Muri Youths Political Forum and Kona Elders within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jalingo Local Government have declared support for Hon. Nura Dantsoho as the party's candidate in the forthcoming council elections.
The groups, in separate statements, commended the choice of Dantsoho, describing him as an accessible politician with a passion for grassroots development.
Leader of the Muri Youths Political Forum, Aliyu Musa, said Dantsoho, a former state lawmaker, had left lasting impacts on the youths through his legislative work and community service.
"Known for his active engagement in community service and his empathetic approach to leadership, Hon. Nura Dantsoho has built a reputation that cuts across generations. His vision for Jalingo focuses on inclusivity, innovation, and sustainable growth, appealing both to the aspirations of the youth and the wisdom of the elders," Musa said.
The group noted that Dantsoho's quality representation as a lawmaker and his commitment to empowering young people made him their natural choice.
"We believe he will bring dynamic energy and fresh perspectives to grassroots governance and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Jalingo," Musa added.
Similarly, Kona Elders in PDP, led by Kini Vakkai and Baba Simon Bala, also endorsed Dantsoho, describing him as a bridge-builder between the young and old.
"We believe in the choice of Governor Agbu Kefas and are confident that Hon. Nura Dantsoho will deliver quality dividends of democracy to our people. The Kona elders will mobilize support for his election," the group stated.
