Construction Of Mararaban–Kunini Road By Hon. A.M. Lauya Enters Major Phase
The Mararaban–Kunini Road project, initiated and facilitated by the Member representing Ardo-Kola, Karim Lamido, and Lau Federal Constituency, Hon. A.M. Lauya, has entered a significant new phase of construction and expansion.
The ongoing works include road extension to deeper rural farming communities, widening of existing lanes, drainage construction to address persistent flooding, and grading and asphalting of already completed sections. The project is nearing completion and is widely seen as a landmark development in the constituency.
This road, considered one of the first of its kind in the area's history, is expected to be a game-changer for thousands of local farmers, traders, and commuters. Once completed, it will greatly improve agricultural transport, market accessibility, and inter-village mobility—boosting rural economies across the constituency.
Hon. Lauya reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to delivering people-centered infrastructure projects that respond directly to the needs of his constituents.
"This project is about more than just a road—it is about opening opportunities, connecting lives, and improving livelihoods," he stated.
He also expressed gratitude to the residents of Mararaban, Kunini, and surrounding communities for their patience, support, and continued prayers throughout the construction period.
"I thank all community members for their cooperation. Your resilience has made this progress possible," Hon. Lauya added.
The Mararaban–Kunini Road stands as a testament to Hon. Lauya's vision for infrastructural development and his focus on practical, impactful projects that benefit rural communities directly.
