Governor Kefas Celebrates Two Years in Office with Orphans

The Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has reiterated his unwavering commitment to the welfare of orphans across the state, emphasizing that they remain an integral part of his administration's vision and must be included in government initiatives.

This was made known during a visit to the GMCN Orphanage Home in Mile Six, Jalingo. Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Engr. Godfrey Dame Andrew, the governor said the visit was in line with his directive to reach out to orphans and demonstrate love and support on the occasion of his second anniversary in office.

Engr. Dame conveyed the governor's heartfelt message and solicited prayers from the children as Dr. Kefas continues to steer the state towards greater progress. As a show of support, cows and bags of rice were donated to the orphanage to help ease the burden on the children and caregivers.

The Coordinator of the GMCN Orphanage, Madam Gladys Maisule Apson, expressed deep appreciation for the governor's consistent support. She recalled that Dr. Kefas also visited the orphanage during his first week in office, describing the latest gesture as a testament to his genuine concern for orphans.

Similarly, at the Alheri Orphanage Home in Jauro Gana, Ardo-Kola Local Government Area, the governor—again represented by Engr. Dame—donated cows and bags of rice to support the children.

The Coordinator of the Alheri Orphanage, Hajiya Ummul Samaila Agwaru, thanked Governor Kefas for his compassionate leadership and offered prayers for his continued success.

The visit concluded with heartfelt prayers by the children for the governor's prosperity and the peace of Taraba State.
