Gov Kefas Flags Off Distribution of Over ₦1 Billion Hospital Equipment
The Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has officially flagged off the distribution of hospital equipment valued at over ₦1 billion in Jalingo, the state capital.
The event, which took place at the Essential Drugs Warehouse, drew key stakeholders from across the healthcare sector and marked a major step in the state's commitment to strengthening medical infrastructure.
While speaking at the ceremony, Governor Kefas urged healthcare facilities across the state's sixteen local government areas to make judicious use of the equipment to enhance healthcare delivery. He also stated that he would personally visit hospitals to ensure the equipment is being put to proper use.
In his remarks, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. BondiyaBuma, reaffirmed the administration's dedication to healthcare as a top priority. He highlighted that most of the procured items are state-of-the-art medical equipment, which are expected to significantly boost the performance and productivity of health workers across the state.
Dr. Buma also appealed to the people of Taraba to continue supporting Governor Kefas's administration as it intensifies efforts to transform the healthcare system and other critical sectors.
