Governor Kefas Has Better Plans for Kuteb Communities – Hon. Abershi Musa

A former Chairman of Ussa Local Government Hon. Abershi Musa has reaffirmed the commitment of the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, to the development of key infrastructure projects connecting the Kuteb communities.

Speaking during the Thanksgiving service of Hon. Andeta'rang Irammae in Bika-Babba, Yangtu Special Development Area, Musa highlighted plans to construct vital roads, including the Takum–Lissam road, the Takum–Kpambo/Fikyu road, and the Kpambo Puri road.

He noted that during a recent meeting between Kuteb PDP stakeholders and the governor, Dr. Kefas reiterated his dedication to delivering these much-needed projects.

Musa also urged the youth of Kuteb to support the governor's development agenda through prayers and constructive engagement, rather than resorting to criticism on social media.

He revealed that the General Hospital in Lissam has been completed and is awaiting commissioning. "When we visited the governor to request a swift commissioning of the hospital, we also appealed for the construction of the Takum road. The governor responded that it would be more fitting to commission the road and the hospital together—and we applauded this thoughtful approach," he said.

According to him, the governor emphasized that accessing a modern hospital via a dilapidated road would defeat the purpose of improved healthcare delivery. Musa commended the role played by Ussa youths and local leaders in championing these efforts.

He added that with this commitment, the Kuteb communities are optimistic about better infrastructure and improved connectivity—an encouraging step toward sustainable development and lasting progress in the area.
