Parallex Bank To Establish Presence In Ussa LGA

Ussa Local Government is set to receive a major boost in its economic landscape with the announcement that Parallex Bank will soon establish a presence in the area. The landmark agreement, secured through the efforts of the Executive Chairman of Ussa LGA, Hon. (Amb) Peter Shenwun, was finalized during negotiations in Abuja.

Facilitating and witnessing the agreement was Sir Michael Magaji, Executive Director of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), who lent his support to the initiative.

Parallex Bank, a new-generation commercial bank fully registered by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), currently operates branches in major Nigerian cities, including Abuja and Lagos. With over five years of successful banking operations, the bank's expansion into Ussa LGA represents a significant development for the region.

This move aligns with Hon. Shenwun's campaign promises and is in step with the broader vision of His Excellency Dr. AgbuKefas, whose administration is committed to transforming Ussaand other local governments in the state. According to Hon. Shenwun, the bank's establishment will provide numerous benefits, including job creation for local youth, a stimulation of economic activity in Ussa, and a reduction in the risks and costs associated with transporting and storing cash, especially for residents who currently have to travel to Takum for banking services.

In a statement, Hon. Shenwun expressed his commitment to delivering on promises and bringing tangible progress to Ussa. "This is a historic achievement and a first for Ussa Local Government," he said. "We celebrate this milestone, and the people of Ussa are fully behind this project. It is a crucial step toward furthering our vision of growth and development."
