Improved Security Has Made Business To Boom In Taraba- Commissioner

 

The Commissioner for Commerce, Trade, and Industry in Taraba State Hon. Peter George has commended the efforts of the state's security agencies by presenting awards of excellence to their leaders stressing that improved security has made business to blossom in the state.

 

 

During a courtesy visit to the security chiefs, Hon. George expressed gratitude for their tireless work in curbing criminal activities such as banditry, kidnapping, and communal violence. He emphasized the crucial role of security in fostering socio-economic development and ensuring the well-being of the state's residents.

 

The awardees included Brigadier General Kingsley ChidiebereUwa, Commander of the 6 Brigade, Jalingo; CP Ukachi Peter Opara, Commissioner of Police for Taraba State Command; and the heads of the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and other key security agencies.

The commissioner who was accompanied by several other cabinet members, including Hon. Muslim Aruwa, Hon. Julius Peter Vai, Hon. Shonze Benard, and Hon. Gideon Nonso Mbasonoted that farmers and traders can now go about their businesses without fear of insecurity. 

 

Hon. George also expressed gratitude to Governor Agbu Kefasfor prioritizing security and providing necessary support to security agencies.

 

The Commanding Officer of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidebere Uwa, welcomed Hon. George and his entourage. 

 

He acknowledged the commissioner's efforts and he said since assuming office, they have successfully flushed out various forms of crime, including terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping.

 

Brigadier Uwa thanked Governor Kefas for his support and assured that Taraba State will be safer than ever before.

 

Other heads of security forces, including the Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, also pledged their commitment to working together to combat insecurity and crime in Taraba State. 

 

They equally expressed gratitude to the Governor Dr. Kefas for his efforts in supporting security agencies and ensuring that Taraba State remains peaceful.

 

Representatives from various business associations, such as the Taraba Chambers of Commerce and the Arewa Traders Association, were also present to show their support for the security agencies.

The recognition and appreciation bestowed upon the security chiefs are a testament to their unwavering dedication to safeguarding the state. Their efforts have significantly improved public safety, enabling businesses to flourish and communities to thrive.
