"This was one of the outcome of yesterday's meeting at the TY Danjuma house on the need to mobilize federal might into the state to ensure development.

"One of them was the need for the completion of Ibi bridge, secondly was the need to pressure the Federal government on Numan Jalingo road.

Again, at the meeting , Hon. Sadiq Tafida passionately advocated for Numan-Jalingo Road, soughting the intervention of the Taraba State Government in the unending imbroglio.

"The federal lawmaker's position was strongly supported by the Aku Uka, Dr. Manu Ishaku Adda Ali.

"Thirdly was the need to demand for what is ours from NEDC. Participants highlighted the state's historical neglect by the North East Development Commission (NEDC) and expressed the necessity of forming a dedicated committee to address these issues effectively.

The Honorable Minister of State, who oversees the NEDC, acknowledged that Taraba has been shortchanged. It was the Hon Minister, that suggested to have a a small committee of Tarabans at the federal level to be meeting and collectively pursue what is due for Taraba State.

"You will all agree that APC is at the FG level and those who are close to the national level are APC appointees and our national assembly members, it has never happened in Taraba history that the State Government will shun Politics and partner with opposition in the interest of Taraba."

APC chieftain Idris Ayuba commended Governor Kefas saying his action is for the good of Taraba.

Our political landscape is often characterized by bitterness, hypocrisy, and primitive tendencies.

Our reactions stem from the orientation we've received from our leaders regarding opposition politics, where collaboration with opponents can lead to accusations of disloyalty and mistrust.

However, it's crucial we adopt a new approach, as exemplified by Governor Kefas. Taraba State's development requires collective effort, and experience is essential for progress. The stakeholders on the committee possess valuable expertise, having served Taraba State in various capacities. Let's support this initiative and observe its outcomes before we conclude. This is a new era, we should be ready to learn new things."

Also APC chieftain Muhammad Umar Taraba state notable individuals must attract concrete investment towards infrastructural development to the state. "They should support this move by the State governor to liberate Taraba from underdevelopment and primitive politics."

He however called for the expansion of the committee to accommodate other senior civil servants and technocrats from Taraba State

" the Deputy Governor at CBN, the Auditor General of the federation ,Taraba state representative in NEDC, If possible the secretary of the commission which happens to be from Taraba and few successful businessmen should be in the committee," Umar said.
