After 29 Years, College of Education Zing Holds First Convocation

 

The College of Education Zing in Taraba State is set to break a 29-year jinx by holding its first convocation ceremony, celebrating the combined graduating classes from 1994 to 2023. 

 

The historic event will feature a convocation lecture on Friday, November 8, 2024, followed by the formal convocation ceremony on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the college's football ground.

 

Prof. Ejika Sambo, the Provost of the College of Education Zing, expressed gratitude to the hardworking Governor of Taraba State, His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas, for approving the convocation ceremony. "This moment marks a significant milestone in the history of our institution, as it recognizes the dedication and achievements of our graduates after so many years," Prof. Sambo stated.

 

The convocation is expected to bring together alumni, current students, faculty, and dignitaries to celebrate the achievements of the graduates and to foster a sense of community and pride in the institution's legacy. This long-awaited ceremony not only honors the students but also signifies a new chapter for the college as it aims to enhance its educational standards and contributions to the region.
