Local Councils Urged to Be Accountable, Transparent

The G16 Youth Development Initiative has called on Taraba's sixteen local government councils to prioritize accountability, transparency, and inclusivity in their governance.

In a press conference led by Chairman Musa Haruna Musa, the group emphasized the importance of local security, welfare, and development. They urged council chairmen to use this opportunity to improve their areas.

The G16 commended Governor Agbu Kefas for accepting the Supreme Court ruling on local government autonomy and forming an advisory committee.

To ensure transparency, the group has selected two young people from each LGA to monitor council funds and spending.
