Governor Kefas Applauds Gen TY Danjuma's Projects in Taraba

Governor Agbu Kefas has extolled elder statesman Gen TY Danjuma for his impactful developmental projects across Taraba state.

 Governor Kefas, leading a distinguished delegation consisting of Paramount Traditional Rulers, key government officials, and security chiefs, embarked on this comprehensive tour to extend gratitude to Gen TY Danjuma and encourage further strides in community development.

The focus of the visit was to inspect ongoing projects, with a particular spotlight on the TY Danjuma University construction site. 

During the inspection of the TY Danjuma University project, Governor Kefas emphasized the transformative role these endeavors play in harnessing youth potential and fostering socio-economic advancement within the state. He announced plans for a delegation of prominent traditional rulers to personally convey appreciation to Gen TY Danjuma for his widespread impact.

Project Coordinator, Engr Michael Rolvin, provided insights into the ongoing construction, highlighting features such as perimeter fencing, dam construction, access roads, fish ponds, and landscaping, with a vision for the university to be a premier institution in Africa. Faculties, including Agriculture, Mechanical and Civil Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence, are anticipated upon completion.

Traditional rulers, including the Aku Uka, the Emir of Muri, and the Gara Donga, commended Gen TY Danjuma's contributions to Taraba communities, emphasizing the potential benefits of the university upon completion.

Governor Kefas extended the visit to Senator Daisy Danjuma Eyes Clinic, Kashimbila Dam, and the airport, recognizing the economic potential of these projects for the state. He applauded Gen TY Danjuma for acquiring the Kashimbila Dam and urged collaboration between traditional rulers and council chairmen for effective community engagement.

Engr Michael Rolvin underscored that the comprehensive projects, including the airport, are solely undertaken by Gen TY Danjuma, making Taraba the only state in the country with two airports. The tour encompassed significant locations such as the 93 Battalion Ada Barracks and various water facilities, showcasing a holistic overview of the transformative initiatives in Takum.
