Karim II Member Elect, Anas Didango Plegdes Not To Dump APGA

Winner of the Supplementary Election conducted in Karim II State Assembly  Anas Shuaibu Didango, has pledged not to defect to any other Party and assured his supporters that he's a member of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA),   and will remain in APGA.

Speaking when receiving his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) , Shuaibu Anas Didango  said "APGA gave me the mandate and I will remain in APGA, I will not defect to any other Party in Taraba or Nigeria", he said.

Anas appreciated APGA supporters, members and Electorates from Karim II Constituency for giving him the mandate to serve at the State Assembly in Jalingo.

He further pledged to liaise with the Executive arm of Government towards making sure that Bills sponsored and signed into law are also implemented for the wellbeing of the people of the Constituency.

"I am out to change the narratives, and as a Lawmaker, I will liaise with the Executives for the provision of dividends of democracy for our people", he said.

Anas however, called on his other Contestants to support him work for the people of the Area.

Speaking at the ceremony held at INEC Headquarters in Jalingo, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Commission, Umar Gajiram, represented by Gaius Hassan said the Karim II State Assembly election conducted on 18th March, 2023 was declared inconclusive owing to the fact that elections did not hold in three Polling Units of three Registration Areas of the Constituency.

"The Commission later fixed 15th April, 2023 for Supplementary Election in the above mentioned Areas to conclude the Election. The Election was successfully conducted and a winner, Anas Shuaibu Didango was emerged",

"We are gathered here today, to present a Certificate of Return to him", the REC explained.

In a brief remark, the Electoral Officer in Karim Lamido Local Government Area, Nuhu Samuel described the Supplementary Election as credible, free and fair and further added that Anas Shuaibu Didango won with overwhelming votes.
