NUTASS Urges Students To Participate In Voters Registration Exercise
The leadership of the National Union of Taraba State Student (NUTASS) has called on its members nationwide to take advantage of the ongoing Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise.
NUTASS National President, Comrade Khaleed said this during the NUTASS's executive meeting, which took place at Muhammad Nya Primary School Jalingo, the state capital.
Khaleed said the NUTASS Executive meeting, was geared towards strengthening and sensitizing students ahead of the disbursement of fifty million naira approved by Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku for scholarships.
"We are appealing to all eligible students in the state to turnout en masse and embrace the ongoing voters registration exercise, it has become necessary.
"While appealing to those above 18 years who have not yet registered to endeavor to take advantage of the exercise, those that want their voting points or unit and area changed, should as well not hesitate to grab the ongoing opportunity.
"The more we set doing nothing the more problem they will be, we need to engage our self in electioneering process that will enable us change the story and restore the glory of the system the time is now," Khalid said.
