Maisamari: MAPCA, Kamkam Group Wants To Incite Fresh Crisis In Nugoroje- Sardauna Youths

·         Urged To Face Commission Of Inquiry With Facts

The Sardauna Youths Forum has urged the Mambilla Progressive Cultural Association (MAPCA)  and Kamkam Concern Citizens to prepare all her observations, points, recommendations and present them before the Commission of inquiry set up by the state government to determine which chiefdom Maisamari District belongs rather than falsely accusing Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku of attempting to illegally expending Ngoroje Chiefdom.

The Sardauna Youths Forum in a statement signed by Charles Joseph Bah urged the groups  not to invite another phase of crisis in Nguroje constituency but  allow Maisamari live in peace as usual and decide the Chiefdom it wants to live under.

Bah said Maisamari and its environs has been amongst the peaceful areas in Mambilla Plateau, living as one people without any difference among the Fulani, Mambilla, Kaka and all other ethnic groups within it's area.

"It is known generally that Mambilla Plateau only saw peace in the recent time. And Rev. Moses has been one of the most troublesome individual leading militias to invade Fulani settlements; it is on record that he led the killings, destructions and burning up of Ardo Gidado settlement and many Fulani settlements around Hainare axis. To our unnerve, instead Rev. Moses being in detention by now, he still walks and moves freely as any other law abiding citizen does."

MAMBILLA PROGRESSIVE CULTURAL ASSOCIATION (MAPCA) INVITING ANOTHER PHASE OF CRISIS IN NGUROJE CONSTITUENCY.

It is very disheartening coming across the trending Press Release by Rev. Moses Sufa (Chairman MAPCA) on the Judicial Commission of Inquiry set by His Excellency, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku on Maisamari and her environs. Instead applauding the Governor for given Mambilla people autonomous Chiefdoms despite they do not have Royalty History, and the Governor's wisdom of not interfering in to the Maisamari matter without an inquiry, and for MAPCA to prepare all her observations, points and recommendations and present them before the Commission, Rev. Moses stands shamelessly to challenge the Governor for setting up a Judicial Commission of Inquiry to work on the above said area, by tagging the matter "Taraba Governor plans to resettle Fulanis to take over their Ancestral land". Rev. Moses Press Release signaled a pandemic deathblow on Mambilla Plateau.

Reverend would not have taken this direction if truly he is right, sure and confident on all that he mentioned in the Press Released.

It is known generally that Mambilla Plateau only saw peace in the recent time. And Rev. Moses has been one of the most troublesome individual leading militias to invade Fulani settlements; it is on record that he led the killings, destructions and burning up of Ardo Gidado settlement and many Fulani settlements around Hainare axis. To our unnerve, instead Rev. Moses being in detention by now, he still walks and moves freely as any other law abiding citizen does.

Rev. Moses Press Release was only filled up with lies and distortions for favor's sake. Mambilla ethnic group is of course one of the earliest ethnic group to have migrated in to Mambilla Plateau, but should not be mentioned as the first, rather among the earliest. Mambilla Plateau Traditional Institution alone is enough for experiment. Talking about the people of Kakara/Kamkam is something else, i request that Rev. Moses revisit the History of the area. Kamkam History is the History of Tigong ethnic race who now lives in Baisa - Kurmi LG. Tigong are the ancestors of Kamkam, and that is why apart from the dwellers of the area, only few Mambilla people understands and speaks Kamkam Mambilla dialect. I doubt if at all Rev. Moses too speaks Kamkam dialect.

Court was of course established in Kamkam, but that was Kakara/Kuma Area court (Traditional Court), sitting in both Kakara and Kuma respectively. But who were the judges of the Kakara/Kuma court? These were;

Jauro Kakara,

Ardo Bairo (Father of the present Lamdo of Nguroje)

Ardo Mallum

Sarkin Hausawan Nguroje and

Jauro Antere.

Maisamari and it environs has been amongst the peaceful areas in Mambilla Plateau, living as one people without any difference among the Fulani, Mambilla, Kaka and all other ethnic groups within it's area.

It is generally known and well acceptable that Mambilla ethnic group only constitute five (5) percent of Maisamari populace and are enjoying their stay with Fulani in the area. We therefore, advice MAPCA to allow Maisamari live in peace as usual and decide the Chiefdom it want to live under. Beside, the writer is neither from Kamkam Chiefdom nor Nguroje Chiefdom, but an indigent of Mbamnga fueling an unrest atmosphere in the said areas.

History will have it that, the History of Sardauna Traditional Institutions just began in this Gov. Darius Dickson Ishaku's Administration. By this, we call on the leadership of MAPCA to remember their usual song "SUPPORT THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DAY" instead turning to something else in our peaceful and beloved land.

Rev. Sir, are you please aware of all these and many others? Or you still need more. We challenged the leadership of Rev. Moses and advice him to be God fearing and turn to his Lord for deliverance.

We thank His Excellency, Gov. Darius Dickson Ishaku for the amicable approaches always taking in addressing our problems in Mambilla Plateau and Taraba in general.

On a special note, we plead with the Governor and all security agencies to as a matter of urgency work for the arrest of Rev. Moses Sufa before the breakthrough of another conflict which may not be limited to Nguroje Constituency.

CHARLES JOSEPH BAH
