Federal University Wukari Matriculates Over 3,000 Students


 



Over three thousand new students of the Federal University Wukari have been matriculated to officially commence their various academic programmes at the University.

 

Speaking at the ceremony which took place at Geoffrey Okogbaa Lecture Hall the vice Chancellor Professor Jude Sammani Rabo Said the event is the climax of the enrollment process of new student for 2020 and 2021 academics session in the institution.

 

 

He explained that the students were carefully selected for the various programme and that due process we're followed and admission guidelines assuring that the deserving student are given equal opportunity within the confines of admission ,

 

He however congratulate the students and tasked them not be carried away by the popular slogan 'academic freedom' calling on them to be responsible students and good ambassador of the University.

 

Prof. Rabo assured the matriculating students that the university management will create an enabling environment for academic excel.

 

He noted that the institution has approved payment in arrears of union dues to the students union government as well as Taraba state student Union collected on their behalf over the years and that the university will ensure timely release of such funds to facilitate smooth operation of student welfare activities in its campus.

 

He disclosed that accommodations for undergraduate has been increased to 216 bed spaces for female students and 114 bed spaces for male students adding that the school will continue to do all it can to accommodate as many students as possible.

 

He however noted that free hostel bed spaces would be given to students with disability in the University.
