34 years old Felix Pulevo Wants President Buhari To Appoint Him Minister
Citing the Not too young to run bill which was recently passed into law by President Mohammed Buhari, Felix Pascal Pulevo, a thirty-four years old holder of M.Sc in Environmental Management from Modibbo Adamawa University Yola, believed he will make a good minister if given the opportunity to replaced the sack minister of power, Engineer Saleh Mamman.
Since the sacked of Mamman, several number of persons from the All Progressives Congress (APC), as noticed by Taraba Truth and Fact have being working round the clocks lobbying for the slot.
Pulevo, who had also decided to joined the race, believed that being a vibrant youth who have contributed to the growth of his Constituency, the state, the party and the nation at large, given him the chance to serve as a minister of the federal Republic of Nigeria, will not be a burden that he cannot shouldered.
Citing his educational qualifications, age, political experience among others which he believed are enough to pave ways for him, he said " I am eminently qualified to hold the position of Minister of Federal Republic of Nigeria ."
Pulevo who in a letter written to President Mohammedu Buhari, copy of which was made available to Taraba Truth and Fact captioned " not too young to be minister " stressed the need for the President not to shy away from assigning him with the responsibility of becoming the next minister from the state after the removal of Mamman.
Disturbed that the cabinet of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as presently constituted does not include a young man below the age of 40 years, giving him the opportunity, he believed would indeed herald smiles on the faces of youths spread across the country and the globe at large.
The thirty-four years old man who went ahead to buttressed his argument by citing Section 147 (3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (As Amended) which provides for at least a minister per state of the federation, said " I hereby humbly apply for appointment as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria."
Apart from his qualifications, being not only a card carrying member of the party, but an active member of the party who contested for the state house of Assembly for Zing Constituency in the 2019 general election and performed credibly, he believed should as well be allowed to contribute to the rapid growth of the country at the national level.
In the election, he said " my candidature pulled out a wonderful performance which gave the party the highest votes by an opposition political party in the history of such an election in Zing Local Government Area, Taraba State being a PDP controlled LGA and State since 1999. "
"Beside my educational and political experience, my ethnic background " as made known by him "also makes me suitable for the position applied being from the Mumuye stuck (the major ethnic group in Taraba State, predominantly found in over seven local governments out of the sixteen local governments of the state)."
Pointing out the various developmental community projects he has got himself involved in which according to him, have continued to spread smiles on the faces of the Have-Not, if given such opportunity, the president and the country at large , he said " will not regret their actions. "
Pulevo who is the current secretary of the Police Community Relations Committee in Zing Local Government Area, said "I have been exposed to diverse working conditions and individuals thus making me prepared for any challenging position including the position of a minister."
