NYCN Chairmanship: I'm Eligible to Contest- Hon Christopher John Manya

A chairmanship aspirant for the Taraba State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Christopher John Manya, has advanced reasons why he is eligible to contest for the position.

He explained that contrary to insinuations from different quarters, he was eligible for the post and he was still with the age range required for the position.

Speaking with our correspondence during an interview, Manya noted that those pushing the age narrative were mischief-makers bent on tarnishing his image.

According to him, how can I be over age when I know the age brackets that qualified the eligibility of who lead the youths? Am not up to 35 so I know am eligible to contest.

On why he wants to lead Taraba youths in NYCN, the aspirant said: "I want to lead the Taraba youths because I know I am competent and capable. Am youths and I know the challenges been faced by the youths in the state. The youths have been let down for so many years and it is time for competent and credible people to step up to pilot their affairs.

"I am of the view that the youths needed a leader that will unify and encouraged a peaceful coexistence. As the Governor has been in search of peace for development and that has been his offer since he assumes office and we need to support him."
