Why we attended Mararaba-Donga Road Flagoff With Sen. Bwacha - APC Members

Some members of the All Progressive Congress APC in Taraba State who attended the flagged off ceremony for the construction Federal Government awarded Mararaba-Donga road last weekend, has given reasons for their attendance.

The flagged off for the Federal road project was hosted by Senator Emmanuel Bwacha a member of the PDP who lobbied for the project for his senatorial district .

 

The ceremony which attracted some APC members like Taraba representative at Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC)  Engr Ahmed Yusuf, Member representing Wukari-Ibi Federal Constituency Hon Danjuma Shidi Danji SS, Member representing Kurmi Sarundana Gashaka Federal Constituency Hon David Fuoh, Mr Rimamnde Britus among others. 

 

Faulting those describing their presence at the ceremony as 'anti party activities', an APC member who was present at the ceremony described the insinuations as baseless since the project is being funded by the APC led Federal Government.

 

The truth is that the road project is an APC led Federal Government project, our people should know that it's APC that's doing the project, President Buhari in his magnanimity approved such project from an area where was not voted for  but PDP members are lashing on it as if it's their project, so our presence at the flagged off of the construction  is to let our people know that the Project is an APC project.

 

"It's also wrong for Presidential appointees and stakeholders from the zone not to attend, it was another avenue to showcase the love Mr President has for Southern Taraba despite not voting for him and the APC, President Buhari is doing the Ibbi bridge and now this road. Attendance of our political appointees would have gone a long way to even attract more people of the Zone to join and embrace the APC,"

Another APC member who was at the ceremony said the project will promote the APC in the state. "we went there to promote APC and Mr President, Engr Ahmed Yusuf was there wearing his APC facemask, Mr Rimamnde Britus was there, those are core APC leaders in the state. If we were not there our people would have thought it's a PDP project and it would have been a minus for us."
