The full statement below

Days after the Governor made statements that Taraba state is Covid19 while relaxing the said lockdown. We appreciate the measures taken so far by our Rescue Captain. All tested cases are now negative. Taraba state government has already quarantined the Almajiri returnees, in line with Taraba state measures put in place to curb the Covid19 cases.

Gratitude for the results that returned negative on the Almajiri returnees. The government did made efforts to reunite them with their parents through their traditional title holders. Therefore, we commend the efforts of Governor DARIUS DICKSON ISHAKU in making Taraba a Covid19 Free state. Thank you sir.

We're equally pleading with our able Governor to reconsider their decision in unlocking these Lockdowns on Friday. We plead that Friday will be a day prior to Sallah, and while we adhere to the social distancing, the overcrowding will be so much, considering people will be shopping for Sallah and it'll be hard for social distancing.

Considering the lost of lives we've experienced in the past due to past overcrowding. We are very confident with the measures taken so far, the Governor is for the safety of Tarabans. We can't afford this time around to lose more lives. The Governor is capable and will protect us all. Thursday shall also be added to decongest the overcrowding that is expected on this Friday, in consideration to Sallah preparations.
