Guber Election: I Never worked for PDP - DSK

• APC Group insist DSK betrayed party, gave Cash to PDP

A Board Member, representing North East on the North East Development Commission NEDC, Chief David Sabo Kente DSK has denied working against his party All Progressive Congress, APC in the last governorship election in Taraba state, saying many factors contributed to his party defeat.

Chief Kente in an exclusive interview with Taraba Truth and Fact said his party lost the governorship election because money meant for campaign were not judiciously spent.

"I never worked for the PDP to win Taraba but we went into the election as a divided house, but I did APC from top to bottom, I supported our assembly candidates with money and logistics. I directed my supporters to vote APC.

"Yes, we lost the election for many factors, one we are not united many people were not carried along in the campaign but you can still see I tried my best to deliver some good votes for our governorship candidate than some of his closest allies. Wukari is the strong hold of the PDP but I still brought votes higher that the party chairman from his local government

"I didn't instruct my media team to write the review of the election but I agree with almost 80% of what they wrote, because it's the truth," DSK said.

In a post election review earlier released by the DSK media office said every Taraban knows that the APC stand a better chance to unseat the Incumbent Government, assuming the party played their Card very well right from onset.

They said arrogance and bragging for rights, and worse of all was the battled for Ethnic, Religious and Regional Supremacy all engulfed the Party In the State and ruined Its chances completely in the last Gubernatorial Elections.

"We all entered the election without a strategic working mechanism for a successful election. The APC Candidate didn't Campaign in Wukari at all because of the unfortunate attack that was lunched on him in Wukari while on his way to Ibi for Campaigns, but yet he got 34,955 votes, much more than Sardauna Local Government the Hometown of his DG Campaign, as well as a Serving Senator, a serving Ambassador of Nigeria to Trinidad and Tobago & two other notable Federal Government appointees, but yet could only produced 29,924 For APC and Its Candidate?? Same unfortunate political out come in Gashaka Local Government where the PARTY CHAIRMAN hails from, APC got partly 10,746 votes. While in Donga Local Government his running mate can only boast of 13,707 Votes for the APC even with the support of Barr Uba Maigari, & Armayau Abubakar who are both former Deputy Governors. This are clear evidence that the APC entered the Election with no common strategy aside mere pre-election "Emotional euphoria" that overshadowed vital Political event & that was why even the PARTY key Stakeholders were evidently overwhelmed with the challenges at hand on Election day.

There's also an allegations of mismanagement of Campaign funds within the ranks of the Party. We are very much aware of the funds APC TARABA received for both Presidential and Gubernatorial Elections and how much was spent during the Election but this is a story for another Day," part of the report reads

•Group insist DSK betrayed APC, gave Cash to PDP

Groups within the APC are however disagreeing with Chief Kente, insisting that he not betrayed the APC and gave money to the PDP but he also personally voted the PDP at the poll.

The group, C2C Vanguard  said it's wrong for Chief  Kente to take credit for the '34,000 authentic' from the massive fictitious results fabricated for Wukari local government Area.

C2C Vanguard said the 34,000 'authentic' votes being claimed by Chief Kente were generated from the Hausa communities of Wukari, including Bantaje, Dorowa and Jibu areas.

"How many of those votes came from his native Kente ward, where he voted for the PDP.‎

"If indeed Chief Kente claims to have brought 34,000 votes to the APC, how could he in another breath allow the 'authentic' votes to be completely obliterated by 92,000 fake votes, causing massive damage to the party.

The group said  Chief David Kente should be explaining himself to the national leadership of the party why he failed woefully to take charge of affairs in his own area, thereby allowing the opposition to ride roughshod on APC.

The group said t‎here's no doubt that APC in Taraba State went into this elections as a fully united house "except Chief Kente who kept himself away only now to show up leading a funeral dirge. APC had resoundingly won at the various levels of the elections but people like Chief Kente who should have brought their wealth and influence to bear on the elections failed to do so. Now the biggest question to ask; where did Chief Kente spend his over forty million naira? Who collected it and for what? It is indeed an unspeakable shame if Chief Kente is asking about campaign funds; how much did he directly contribute?"

•DSK led Observers to rig election for PDP in Wukari

Another group Taraba State Concerned Citizens are calling on the party to take disciplinary actions against Chief Kente,‎ "else their antics will continue growing unhindered.

The Concerned Citizens said  "it is also on record that DSK was behind the latest rigging in Wukari LG by the PDP during both the Presidential and Gubernatorial elections. He supported the party (PDP) with both cash and logistic against the APC and his blood brother Rt. Hon. Josiah Sabo Kente who contested for House of Representatives to represent Wukari/Ibi Federal constituency during the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

"As an observer, DSK provided the PDP with enough cover and ensured that the election was rigged against his party. This is a fact he can't deny.
