Wurojam Community Appeals to Kefas Over Dilapidated Primary School

Residents of Wurojam Community in Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State have called on Governor Agbu Kefas to urgently intervene in the poor state of infrastructure at Wurojam Central Primary School.

The appeal was conveyed in a statement signed by Ahmed Ibrahim.

The community, in a passionate appeal, acknowledged the governor’s commitment to free education across the state but expressed concern that the learning environment in the school remains deplorable and unconducive for pupils.

According to the appeal, several buildings within the school are in a dilapidated condition, while some classrooms are no longer fit for teaching and learning. The situation is further compounded by overgrown vegetation, giving the school environment the appearance of an abandoned facility.

Despite these challenges, the school reportedly continues to accommodate a large number of pupils, leading to overcrowded classrooms and a strained teaching environment.

The community appealed to the state government to undertake urgent renovation of existing structures, construct additional classrooms, and clear the school surroundings to restore a conducive atmosphere for learning.

They expressed confidence in Governor Kefas’ commitment to improving the education sector and urged that Wurojam Central Primary School should not be left behind in the ongoing reforms.
