SON Certifies Wangara Concrete Poles in Jalingo

The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has certified WangaraProperties Development Company Limited in Jalingo for the production of concrete poles, confirming that the product meets the required National Industrial Standards.

The company, a subsidiary of the Wangara Group, received the certification at the SON office in Jalingo. Presenting the certificate, the Assistant Director and State Coordinator of SON in Taraba State, Mrs. Janet Maken Vakkai, described the approval as a major milestone, noting that it affirms the quality, durability, and reliability of the company's concrete poles.

Mrs. Vakkai explained that SON had thoroughly verified the product through its regulatory processes, assuring that any item bearing the SON certification mark complies with approved national standards. She added that the development would boost confidence among contractors, government agencies, and end users who rely on quality materials for infrastructure projects.

In his remarks, a representative of the Wangara Group, Isma'ilaIbrahim Wangara, expressed appreciation to SON for the certification, describing it as the outcome of years of rigorous inspection and assessment.

According to him, the certification process lasted between two and three years, involving detailed evaluations to ensure compliance with federal standards and best production practices.

He noted that with the approval, the company is now positioned to supply its concrete poles across Nigeria, assuring customers of products that meet regulatory and quality benchmarks.

The Wangara concrete poles factory is located opposite the Jolly Nyame Stadium in Jalingo, Taraba State.
