NAWOJ Distributes Grains to Muslim Sisters, Calls for Intense Prayers for Taraba State



The Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Taraba State Chapter, Comr. Janet Audu Nyajon, has distributed grains, sugar, and beverages to Muslim sisters, calling for intense prayers for NAWOJ and Taraba State.

The distribution, which took place at the NUJ Press Center in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, drew Muslim sisters from all the media chapels in the state.

Speaking during the event, Comr. Janet Nyajon said Ramadan is a month of blessings and sacrifice, adding that it was important for the association to identify and support its Muslim sisters during this time.

She emphasized the need to pray for the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, his wife, Mrs. Agyin Kefas, as well as all the female commissioners, NAWOJ, and the entire people of Taraba State.

Also speaking during the event, Mrs. Lydia Wilson applauded the chairperson for her kind gesture, stating that no one has ever demonstrated such support in the history of Taraba NAWOJ. She further encouraged her to continue with acts of sacrifice for the association.

Speaking on behalf of the Muslim sisters, the Assistant Director of Programmes at the Taraba State Broadcasting Service (TSBS), Hajiya Amina Abdullahi, expressed appreciation to the chairperson for the show of love and solidarity and prayed that God grants her more strength and wisdom to function more effectively and efficiently.
