Pastor Samuel Omajali Sets to Emerge CAN Chairman In Taraba

The State Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church in Taraba State, Pastor Samuel Omajali, is set to emerge as the new state chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Taraba Truth and Facts Newspapers has authoritatively gathered.

 

The state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) will hold its election on Thursday, November 7th.

 

The current state chairman, Rev. Dr. Isaiah Jirapye Magaji, said all necessary formalities for the election have been completed.

 

Rev. Magaji added that the national officials are expected in Jalingo on Thursday for the election, while the National President will arrive on Friday, November 8th, for a combined service, the inauguration of the new executives, and a courtesy visit to the state governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas.

 

To ensure a hitch-free election, Dr. Magaji said bloc leaders of CAN in the state are also expected to meet on Tuesday to harmonize and present a report before the election, expressing hope that the exercise will be peaceful.

 

Several credible sources have stated that Pastor Samuel Omajaliwill emerge unopposed.

 

A source revealed that Pastor Samuel Omajali has been endorsed by four voting blocs that make up the foremost Christian organization.

 

Another source mentioned that the Catholic bloc, which was expected to produce the next CAN Chairman in the state, stepped down for the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) bloc, to which Pastor Samuel Omajali belongs.

 

The source further stated that Pastor Samuel Omajali is generally accepted by all leaders in CAN due to his exemplary humility and steadfastness. "He has always been a promoter of peace and Christian values in the state. He is very open and straightforward, making it easy for all the blocs to support him unopposed."
