Connect FEDPOLY Bali To National Grid, RectorBegs FG

 

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Bali in Taraba State, Dr Mohammed Usman, has appealed to the Federal Government to connect Bali Local Government Area to the national grid as an intervention which will lead to the linkage of the Polytechnic to the national power grid or provide an alternative power source.

 

The Rector who was speaking at the closing ceremony of a Five Day Computer Training Programme organized by Digital Bridge Institute, DBI and sponsored by the Nigeria Communications Commission, NCC

 

He also solicited for more collaboration with the Nigerian Communication Commission, NCC and Digital Bridge Institute, DBI in the development of the institution.

 

Dr Mohammed Usman who was represented by the Deputy Rector, Engr Sani Isa Abubakar, acknowledged the vital roles of the organizations in enhancing the institution's digital experience.

 

The Rector used the forum to appeal to the Federal Government to connect Bali Local Government Area to the national grid as an intervention which will lead to the linkage of the Polytechnic to the national power grid or provide an alternative power source. 

 

He commended DBI for decentralizing its training centers, enabling the last three sets of trainees to participate in ADEPTI training at their doorsteps.

 

In his remarks, DBI's ADEPTI Coordinator, Dr. JafarAli, who led the team of experts, including Dr. NasiruBello and Mr. Nansel Anthony Danboyi, praised the trainees' for 99% attendance, describing it as remarkable.

 

Dr. Jafar highlighted DBI's achievements since its inception in 2004 and reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with NCC and other stakeholders to enhance digital experiences.

 

Dr. Yahaya Tukur, Director Academic Planning and Chairman Adhoc Committee on ADEPTI, delivered a vote of thanks while Dr Mrs Florence Nnaji Oluchihad earlier presented the welcome remarks. 

 

 

The training Programme which commenced from 28th October to 1st November 2024, at the Institution's ICT and ICT annex, was aimed at equipping the staff with the essential digital skills and experiences.
