Science Ministry To Train Over 3000 Youths On Automobile Repairs

The Taraba State Ministry of Science and Technology has completed a partnership arrangement with Fixit45 Technologies Ltd to train three thousand youths in the areas of technical support and access to accurate information for automotive repairs in Taraba State

The  Commissioner of Science and Technology, Hon Muslim Usman Aruwan while addressing journalists in Lagos shortly after sealing the deal with the company, stated that Taraba State is grappling with a significant youth unemployment crisis and a concerning poverty index, hence Governor Kefas' led administration has taken proactive steps to arrest the situation

The Commissioner who expressed the determination of his Ministry to nurture a technology ecosystem for Taraba youths and open doors of prosperity through the application of science and technology, encouraged the people of Taraba State to give Governor Agbu Kefas maximum support to enable him to execute all the good plans he has for the state

"The poverty rate and growing unemployment rate in the state is a source of worry to our focus Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas. He is determined to change the narrative by empowering the youth and making them self-reliant. We are assured that this collaboration is one of the ways through which we can pave the way for transformative change in Taraba State.

"We hope to train 1,000 youth in the first year and increase the capacity to 3,000 per year and subsequently add other programs". The commissioner stated.

Earlier, Mr. Pankaj Bohhra, a Cofounder and COO, Fixit45 Technologies Ltd, noted that the collaborative efforts between Taraba Ministry of Science and Technology and Fixit45 would not only combat youth unemployment and the poverty index in the state but would also enhance the state's economy and foster self-reliance in vehicle maintenance and other science and technology-enabled solutions.

He said the training would also enable the repair and refurbishment of more than 300 vehicles every month, assist in setting up two well-designed Mechanic Villages, and provide employment opportunities with 1,000 direct jobs and 2,500 indirect jobs to Taraba Citizens by the End of the First Year in the state

"It will connect Vehicle Owners, Garages, and Parts Vendors through state-of-the-art digital platforms. This connection is not just about convenience and transparency; it's about empowering Nigerian youth and Garages with technical support and access to accurate information for capacity building, paving the way for growth and prosperity.

"For vehicle owners, Fixit45 brings effortless access to services and parts, elevating mobility while significantly reducing the burden of higher maintenance costs." He added
