Hon Garba Ajiya Returns To PDP, Urged Support For Kefas Agbu's Administration

The member representing Takum One Constituency in the Taraba State House of Assembly, Hon Garba Samson Ajiya has urge politicians in the state to place the interest of the state above political and personal interests.

 

Ajiya in a press release announcing his return to the Peoples Democratic Party PDP said he believes  

He said the events that played out during the 2023 general elections is a learning experience in democracy and the democratization process which indicates our democracy is maturing despite the fact that there are still room for improvements.


Going down memory lane, Hon Garba Samson Ajiya said what transpired in the wake of the state house of assembly primary election which made him to tender his resignation from PDP and later pitched his tent with the Social Democratic Party, SDP was due to irregularities in the whole process.


Accordingly he said the election has come and gone and after wide consultations with various vested interest groups who are keen on the progress and development of the state and as a democrat who believe that politics should be about the people and personal sacrifice, he announced his return to the PDP.


Hon Garba Samson Ajiya said for Takum and Taraba State to continue to succeed and prosper, he is not instituting any litigation over his ambition.


He called on all Tarabans to join hands with the Governor-elect, retired Col Kefas Agbu and other political office holders to develop the state, pointing out that the hope of Tarabans have been rekindled.


Hon. Ajiya earnestly prayed that the elected officials will live above and beyond ordinary expectations, while appreciating the people of Takum one constituency for bestowing their trust and mandate on him since 2018 saying he count it as a thing of joy to have contributed his quota to public service and the people's aspirations.
