Anti-Party: Yorro PDP Exco Expel David Kassa For Supporting SDP, Says Ex Commissioner Never Paid Party Dues
The Executives of the People Democratic Party, PDP in Yorro Local Government Area, have expelled former commissioner for Agriculture and Natural resources, David Ishaya Kassa over anti party activities during the last general election.
At a press conference in Pantisawa, party executives from the various wards of Yorro Local government accused David Kassa of working against the PDP during the governorship and state assembly election.
The PDP Chairman in Yorro Local government Hon Anthony David Kassa also accused the former commissioner of bankrolling the campaign of SDP candidate for state House of Assembly.
The PDP executive called on the State leadership of the Party to disregard the aspirations of David Ishaya Kassa's ambition to seek nomination for the by-election under the platform of the PDP.
He said David Ishaya Kassa has never worked for the victory of the PDP during the last elections, and has never been a member of the PDP.
The Statement further stated that David Ishaya Kassa, whose Ward is Kassa ( 1) Ward of Yorro Local Government Area, does not have a membership card, therefore is not a bonafide member of the PDP.
"His name is not on the register at his Ward and does not pay party dues to the Party, so there is no record of his membership and so David Ishaya Kassa has no right to seek nomination for any elective office on the platform of the PDP."
The Statement said that during David Ishaya Kassa's time as Commissioner, he has never supported the candidates of the PDP, particularly the last general elections.
" David Ishaya Kassa ensured that the PDP lost the Yorro State house of assembly election to the SDP and was part of the organizers of celebrations after the failure which confirms his attempt to cripple the progress of the party at the Local Government level. We call on David Ishaya Kassa to stop parading himself as a member of the PDP, and should desist from using the name of the PDP, to promote his political aspirations." Anthony said.
