Oldest Man On Mambilla Plateau, Pa Falack Samuel Mbakwi Buried Amid Pomp In Gembu

 It was a celebration of a life well spent when the remain of oldest man on Mambilla plateau

 Pa Falack Samuel Mbakwi was laid to rest at his compound in Kaka Quarters, Gembu, the headquarters of Sardauna Local Government Area.

 

In his massage during the funeral service held at the Victory Baptist Church, Gembu, Reverend Francis Babale of the First Mambilla Baptist Church, Jalingo described Pa Falack as a father who has left good legacies worthy of emulation.

 

He said the testimonies had indicated that the deceased committed his life to the services of God, adding that anybody who does well would die well.

 

The clergyman who described death as necessary end which everyone must test it at a point of time and encouraged the congregation to turn to God.

 

Reverend Babale equally called on them to strive to do good at all times because everybody would give account on whatever they do when they die.

 

He challenge the Kaka nation to imbibe the spirit of unity as well as accept Jesus who is the only savior.

 

Earlier, the state Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Reverend Isaiah Magaji Jirapiye who was represented by the Vice, Bishop Isaac Philip said Pa Falack would be remembered for role he played in impacting on people of church and the community.

 

He encouraged the congregants to live a practical life as Christians as well as dedicate themselves to the service of God.

 

In an interview, the state commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education, Johannes Jigem thanked those who turned out to honour the burial of the statesman.

 

He described Pa Falack as a caring father who was able to encouraged education, health services, skill acquisition as well as introduced cocoa and tea farming which had gone a long way in impacting on lives of people in the area.

 

He said the role played and his early education in Mambilla Plateau had encouraged many people to go to school, adding that the encouragement had gone a long way in producing four professors in Kaka land which is the highest in Mambilla Plateau.

 

Also commenting, the son, Reverend Victor Falack described his late  father as a visionary leader who his death deserved celebration due to his years and role he had played to the lives of his children and the community.

 

He said the father has passed on, but he still alive because he has nurtured his children in academics, religion and moral upbringing.

 

He however remarked that although his late father did not enjoyed education as expected due to his poor background but was strive to give his children sound education .

 

Reverend Victor assured to follow the footsteps of his father by training as well as sponsoring the vulnerable children to have a better future.

 

The Secretary to Sardauna local government area, Her Royal Majesty Queen Patience Shehu Audu Baju  II, while  condoling  with the family described Pa Falack as the father to all and who always embrace the path of peace in Sardauna local government area and who also lived a simple and exemplary life worthy of emulation. The fact that he had lived in his home town (Gembu) interacting and advising people positively.

 

Queen Patience was accompanied by Hon. Mrs Esther Yenda the state PDP woman leader urged the bereaved family to take solace and prayed to Almighty God to forgive the deceased's shortcomings and give those he left behind the fortitude to bear the painful and irreparable loss.

 

 Earlier in Jalingo the Taraba State capital, The Sardauna stakeholders has condoled with the Falacks over the glorious transition of Pa Samuel Mbakwi Falack

 

The delegation which was led by Hon. Dr. Ahmad Jedua was at Rev. Dr. Victor Falacks resident where they sympathized with the family.

 

The Stakeholders said although Pa  Falack was divinely blessed with longevity having lived for long and set a record as the oldest man on the Mambilla Plateau, his demise however is felt because he will be greatly missed for the fatherly role he has always played.

 

Dr. Jedua while thanking God for the life of late Pa Samuel Mbakwi Falack, went ahead to call on everyone to emulate his lifestyle of peace, love and concern for the people around him.

 

He further noted that such could be the secret of living long and healthy just as did Pa Samuel.

 

In response, Dr. Victor Falack expressed his overwhelming joy over the visit by Sardauna stakeholders, he noted that such show of love has proven that Pa Samuel was indeed loved and appreciated by not just his immediate family but Sardauna at large.

Pa Falack Samuel Mbakwi who died at the age of 116  was a founding member of First Mambilla Baptist Church, Gembu.
