Fresh 224 Taraba Students Get Dr. Bala Mohammed Bello’s Scholarship


A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress APC in Taraba State and philanthropist Dr. Bala Mohammed Bello has given scholarship to over 224 students across 16 Local Government Areas of the state.

 

A total of 14 students from each local government were selected based on merit, irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliation to benefit from the scholarship programme, Taraba Truth and Fact gathered.

Described as a true lover of his people, Dr. Bala Mohammed Bello has for years been rendering community and social supports services including women and youth empowerment scheme, sport events to foster peace and unity among various communities in the state.

He has also been providing monthly stipends to the aged, elderly and vulnerable groups in numerous communities to support their upkeep, particularly around his neighboring village of Kakara.

He has recently single handily funded the construction of new health facilities in Kabri and Gembu and rehabilitation of health facilities in Kakara, and Bundi- Mayo Ndaga, of Sardauna Local Government of Taraba State.

Dr. Bala Mohammed Bello has also provided portable drinking water to communities like Bangoba, Wuro Babello,  Sabongari, Kakara, Nyiwa, Mayo kusku and  Galadima. 

The detribalized Nigerian and well exposed Taraban has also used his vast contacts to help secured employment for hundreds of Taraba youths into various states and federal agencies, and other private organizations in Nigeria.

Dr. Bala Mohammed Bello  who holds the title of Dan Buram-Gashaka recently  donated over 650 bags of rice to its APC  members during the festive season.

 The APC Chairmen across the five local government in central zone  said the kind gesture of the philanthropist cum politician for remembering party members in the grassroot during festive season.

APC Chieftain Umar Yusuf said the items were shared across the five local governments with special recourse to orphans and vulnerable women in the communities.

"We want to extend our appreciation to Dan-Buram Gashaka  for remembering us in the APC in Central zone, we received about 650 bags of rice and we have shared it through our party structure at the local level to orphans and women across party lines. Hunger does not know party members, so we shared the items to the people irrespective of their party but APC members were highly considered."
