Right Activist Tackles Hon Abbas Kaura Over Constituency Project

Taraba based frontline pro-democracy activist,  Comrade Mansur Munkaila Jirgi has challenged the member representing Gassol I Constituency in Taraba state House of Assembly Hon Abbas Kaura  over the distribution of Canoe as his constituency project describing it as a misplace of priority.

Jirgi who hails from Gassol in a statement said the constituency as a matter of urgency is in need of more important projects that could have direct impact on the citizens beyond canoe.

"As it is, many of villages like Wurojam, Sansani, Wuryo, Sendirde, Dadin kowa among others in Gassol one constituency are presently inaccessible due to lack of culverts, many villages have no adequate healthcare services, for communities like Dadin-kowa have never witness any government project, abject poverty remain the order of the day among the people of our dear constituency and our member is not doing enough."

Jirgi added that many residents of Gassol one constituency are in need of farm inputs to boast their agricultural activities.
"we are currently in the raining season what our people expect from the Member is farm inputs to supplement their farming activities and serious constructions of culverts withing the 6 political wards of the constituency to enhance transportation of agricultural products not canoes."

He calls on Hon Abbas Kaura to as a matter of urgency to review his plans for the good interest of his constituents, by always engaging them before embarking on projects.
"the expectation of our people is high from the elected member, he should speak up for the people and attract development to Gassol one, our people deserve better things than few canoes shared to his cronies in name of constituency projects, he should also engage and consult with the people to identify their areas of urgent need before embarking on projects.
