WAEC/NECO Fee: Help Bail Students Out, Right Lawyer Begs Gov Darius

Jalingo based Human Rights lawyer, Bilyaminu Lukman Maihanchi Esq, has appealed to the state government to address the plight of parents who hitherto couldn't afford to register WAEC/NECO examination for their children/ward.

Barr. Maihanchi in a statement lamented that a higher percentage of students across all the 16 Local Government in the state couldn't afford to pay, and those that paid, still finds it hard to repay the loans their parents took.

"We, therefore, write to appeal for support towards those students currently stranded in avoidable uncertainties." He said.

He added that it's everyone's business to wish the Governor of Taraba state, His Excellency Darius Dickson Ishaku, a speedy, effective, and total recovery from the said Domestic Accident, hoping that the TEST will also make the Governor to refocus, revive, and reinforce confidence on things that matters to all Tarabans.

Barr. Maihanchi also noted that the state government should  establish Taraba State Education Trust Fund  with the main aim of making tuitions easier and more accessible by students of Taraba State University.

"While it's our duty to always pray for the wellbeing of His Excellency which is essential to the continued growth of our dear state, we are confident our appeals will be given due consideration by the Governor." He concluded.
